Luca Brientini, Senior Advisor at VVR, gained in over 20 years an international management experience working in the high tech, industrial, automotive and logistics sectors for both large multinationals and medium-large size companies.
Prior to this role as Senior Advisor, Luca Brientini has been for 7 years Member of the Operating Board of Hoyer GmbH and Director of a Business Unit responsible in the Group for Food logistics. He was also CEO of Hoyer Switzerland and Hoyer Italy.
Prior to Hoyer he worked for Mitsubishi Electric for 7 years, at the beginning as Vice President Corporate Development at the EMEA Headquarters in London and later as COO of Germany having full Sales and P&L responsibility and 8 divisions reporting to him. Main businesses of Mitsubishi Electrics in Europe are Automation, Automotive Components, Building Systems & Air Conditioning, Visual, Information & Communication Systems and Semiconductors.
Before joining Mitsubishi Electric, he worked for ABB for 11 years. He started after the university at the Drives operations as Development Engineer and moved into Controlling after his MBA. The last 5 years at ABB he worked as Finance Manager for the Business Area Robotics at the ABB Headquarters in Zürich.
Luca Brientini has been responsible for change management, reorganisations, turnarounds, strategies, process improvements using several methodologies like Six Sigma, international business development and M&A.
Luca Brientini graduated in Electrical Engineering at Politecnico of Milan in 1986 and earned his MBA from IMD in Lausanne in 1990. He speaks Italian, English and German.
