Gianpiero Pugnetti, Senior Advisor of VVR, spent almost all his career in the Automotive Sector, where he covered various roles and responsibilities in Fiat Auto Puchasing Dept., being for many years Global Vice President for Plastic and Chemical Products.
From 2000 to 2006 he was Vice President Europe for Plastic and Chemical Products in the JV between Fiat and General Motors, in which all purchasing activities of both companies were placed. Based in Russelsheim (Germany), with a purchasing budget of € 8 bn, he had the responsibility of around 400 people in various countries.
He joined Fiat Group in 1968 starting his career in Comind, Fiat Plastic Division, where he covered different management positions.
In 1987 he joined Fiat Auto as Purchasing Manager and he participated to the globalization process of the Company, with a direct responsibility of the emerging countries. He then became Vice President for Plastic and Chemical Products.
More recently, from 2006 and 2012, he was appointed Member of the Board in C.F. Gomma, Italian company with a turnover of € 150 ml, specialized in the production of rubber moulding components for automotive and railways, with plants in Italy, Poland and Brasil.
Reporting to the CEO, he was in charge of Purchasing and Sales. He managed also a restructuring process of the entire company in Italy, that ended with a reduction of 400 people.
In 2012 he became Advisor of Verto Value Regeneration, with a specific focus on restructuring and performances optimization.
